=== Terms of Service ===

Effective August 11, 2026 · Last updated August 11, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Duck Chase mobile app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Duck Chase.

Who can use Duck Chase

You must be at least 13 years old to use Duck Chase, and at least 18 to purchase a subscription. If you're between 13 and 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission.

Hunting laws are your responsibility

Duck Chase is a personal record-keeping tool. It is not a legal document, a licensing system, or a compliance service.

You are solely responsible for knowing and following all applicable federal, state, tribal, and local hunting regulations — including season dates, bag and possession limits, shooting hours, licensing and stamp requirements, permitted species, and reporting obligations. Season dates you configure in the app are your own settings and carry no legal weight.

Do not rely on Duck Chase to determine whether a harvest is lawful. Always consult your state wildlife agency and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. If your state requires harvest reporting, you must file through the official channel — logging a hunt here does not report it to anyone.

Band recoveries should be reported to the U.S. Geological Survey Bird Banding Laboratory at reportband.gov. Recording a band in Duck Chase does not report it.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Provide accurate information when you sign up, and let us know at help@duckchase.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your data belongs to you

Everything you enter — hunts, harvests, notes, dog profiles, photos, locations — remains yours. You grant us only the limited license needed to store, process, sync, and display it back to you as part of running the app. We claim no ownership over your hunting records and will not use them for anything outside what our Privacy Policy describes.

You can export or delete your data at any time.

Subscriptions and billing

- Duck Chase offers a free tier with unlimited hunt logging, and an optional Premium subscription.

- Premium is billed monthly or annually through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase.

- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.

- Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, not by us. We can't issue refunds directly.

- Prices may change. We'll give notice before any change affects your renewal.

If your subscription lapses, your data is preserved. Premium features become unavailable, but nothing you logged is deleted — including GPS pins, which remain saved and become accessible again if you resubscribe.

Acceptable use

Don't use Duck Chase to:

- Break any law, including wildlife and hunting regulations

- Attempt to access another user's account or data

- Reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the app or our servers

- Use automated systems to scrape or bulk-extract data

- Resell or redistribute access to the app

Availability

We work to keep Duck Chase running and syncing reliably, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. The app is designed to work offline so that a connectivity or server problem doesn't stop you from logging a hunt in the field.

We strongly recommend exporting your data periodically as your own backup.

Disclaimer of warranties

Duck Chase is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, that data will always sync successfully, or that it will meet your requirements.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Duck Chase and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, hunting records, profits, or opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty-five U.S. dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Termination

You may stop using Duck Chase and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, and will give notice and a chance to correct the problem where reasonable. If we terminate your account without cause, we'll refund any unused prepaid subscription time.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app develops. If a change is material, we'll notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Duck Chase after that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Lake County, Florida.
