Date, time and location, the full weather picture — temperature, wind speed and direction, sky, barometric pressure and precipitation — every bird by species and sex, bands, shells fired, your decoy spread and count, whether you ran a motion decoy, party size, which dogs worked, and free-text notes. It'll also work out your shots per bird across the season.

Yes, completely. Everything is written to your phone first, not to a server you can't reach, and it syncs by itself once you're back in range. No signal, no problem, no lost mornings.

Entirely. Over thirty North American duck species by name, drake and hen counts, band records, decoy spreads, retriever work, and a red screen for the dark hour before shooting light. It isn't a general hunting app with a duck section slapped on.

No. We don't sell, rent or trade anything that identifies you, and we never have. There's no advertising code in the app at all. With your permission — off unless you switch it on — we may contribute county-level harvest trends to conservation groups and wildlife agencies, with no coordinates, no names and no email addresses in them.

Never. Not with advertisers, not with data brokers, not with other hunters. Your spots are the most sensitive thing in a hunting log and there is no future business model that changes this. Right now the app doesn't even store coordinates; when GPS spot pinning arrives it will be optional, and those pins stay yours.

You do. You can export the whole thing to a spreadsheet whenever you want, and delete every trace of it from inside the app — immediately and permanently, without emailing anyone.

The app is free right now while it's in beta, with no card required. Core logging will stay free for good — unlimited seasons, unlimited hunts, every species by name. A paid tier will come later for analytics, multiple dogs and GPS features, and we'll be plain about what's in it before it arrives.

No. Duck Chase does nothing in the background: no location tracking, no syncing while you're sat in the blind, nothing running when the app is closed. It works when you open it and stops when you don't.
